The hinge system automatically adapts to the removable plates that are put in the appliance.

-  HD2430: Belgian waffle maker, cut & seal sandwich maker, contact grill.
-  HD2431: Belgian waffle maker, rectangular-shape sandwich maker, contact grill.
-  HD2432: Nordic waffle maker (heart shape), cut & seal sandwich maker, contact grill.
-  HD2433: Nordic waffle maker (heart shape), rectangular-shape sandwich maker, contact grill.
Auto Lock
An automatic clamping mechanism that closes the 3-in-1 appliance.The auto-lock mechanism should
not be activated when the Belgian waffle plates are inserted to allow optimal performance as a
waffle maker.
Important
Read these instructions for use carefully before using the appliance and save them for future
reference.
Check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance corresponds to the local mains

voltage before you connect the appliance.
Plug the appliance into an earthed wall socket.

If the mains cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by

Philips or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Do not immerse the appliance or the mains cord in water or other liquids.

Position the appliance so that:

- the mains cord does not hang over the edge of a table or worktop;
- children cannot touch the appliance when it is in use;
- it stands on a flat, stable surface and is surrounded by sufficient free space.
Always unplug the appliance after use.

Do not let the appliance operate unattended. Do not operate it under or near curtains or

other flammable materials or under wall cabinets, as bread may burn.

Make sure you mount the plates securely when you change them.
