    > If the power cord plug does not fit into your wall
    socket, consult a qualified electrician.
    > Use of various adapters may result in damage to
the appliance and termination of warranty.
    > Always use the appliance under supervision.
    > Always unplug before moving the appliance from
one place to another, cleaning and storing.
    > Never pull the cord to disconnect the appliance, instead
grasp the plug firmly and pull it to disconnect.
    > Do not allow the cord or the machine itself, to come into
    contact with hot surfaces.
    > Position the appliance and the cord on a stable surface
so that nobody can accidentally overturn it.
    4
  • > Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped, or
with a damaged power cord or plug. Do not attempt to
modify or repair the machine yourself.
    > Do not attempt to dismantle the appliance as improper

    > To avoid mechanical defects and damage, take care
    during appliance transportation.
    SPECIAL SAFETY
    MEASURES
    > Make sure that the water level
    is between the minimum and
    maximum level before turning
the kettle on. Do not overfill the
    kettle; otherwise it can overflow
while boiling. Please, remember that the minimum water
level should be higher than the minimum allowed level.
    > Do not touch the hot surfaces of the appliance. Do not
touch the outer surfaces of the kettle with the exception
of the heat insulated handle, when water is boiling or
with hot water inside the device.
    > Allow the kettle to cool, prior to cleaning and storing.
    > Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply
before storage, before filling it with water/emptying it or
moving it from one place to another.
    > The appliance should always be placed and used, on a
heat resistant, horizontal and dry surface.
    > To avoid being burnt by hot vapour always close the
lid tightly before use. Avoid exposure to hot vapour.
WARNING! Never open the lid immediately before
or after boiling temperature is reached.
    > The kettle is protected against overheating and if
switched on without water, an automatic safety cut out
device will switch it off. If the safety device is activated,
allow the kettle to cool down prior to boiling water in it.
The kettle will not switch on if it’s too hot. WARNING!
Frequent switching on of the kettle without water
might result in the failure of the safety device,
that is why prior to switching on the kettle, always
check the water level. Always make sure the water
level in the kettle is not too low.
    5
  • > Always switch the kettle off prior to lifting it from
    the base.
    > Use the kettle only with the supplied base.
    > Do not fill a hot kettle with cold water or vice versa.
    WARNING! Avoid sharp temperature fluctuations
when filling the kettle with water.
    > Connect the device only to an electrical supply with
a protective earthing. If your socket has no protective
earthing, contact a qualified specialist. Do not modify
the plug and do not use cord adapters. WARNING!
Electric shocks might occur if the kettle is plugged
    into an unearthed power supply.
    > Clean the heating element of the kettle often to de-
scale it. Remember that use of a heavily scaled kettle
might cause it to malfunction. WARNING! De-scale the
    kettle using only specially designed
    cleaning agents.
    > Before turning the kettle on, make sure that the lid is
closed; otherwise the kettle will not turn off after boiling.
    > After use of the appliance, the base of the kettle might
be wet. This is normal and is caused by escaping
steam, used to activate the kettle’s automatic turn off
    function.
    > Do not tilt the filled kettle backwards, since water can
spill through the steam vent. If this happens, the kettle
should be wiped before turning it on.
    > Do not take the electric cord out of the socket during
operation of the appliance. You should first turn it off.
    > After using the appliance let it cool for a few minutes.
After that you can boil water in it again.
