Prefer servicing to qualified service personnel. Power supply Battery operation x Open the battery compartment cover. x Insert 6 batteries (UM-2/LR14). Please observe correct battery polarities or the set will not work. x Close the battery compartment cover. AC operation x Before the first connecting of the appliance check that voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds the mains voltage in your home. x The AC cord is located inside the battery compartment. x Insert the plug into power supply. CAUTION: x When the set is only used with AC or is not used for 4 weeks or more, please remove the batteries, to avoid damage to the set from leakage of batteries. x Always switch off the unit when not in use. x Always unplug the appliance from power supply, when no use long time. x Please note that the power of the set is "off" when the function switch is on "tape" position & no cassette button is pressed. Stereo headphone connecting x For private listening, insert 3.5 mm headphone into the stereo headphone jack (on the back side of the unit). x Adjust volume control to the appropriate level as desired. x When the stereo headphone jack is plugged, speaker will disconnect automatically. Aux In x You can connect the audio output of an external device such as a MP3 player to this unit, to listen to the sound of that device through the high quality amplifier of this music system. x To connect the external device please use a standard stereo headphone (3.5mm to 3.5mm plugs) cable to connect the "headphone-out or audio line-out" of the device to the aux-input socket of this unit. x Set the function switch in "radio/ aux-in" position. x Switch on the unit and the external device (eg. MP3-player). 3
