Batteries
Two 1.5 volt batteries.
For best performance, use alkaline
manganese batteries (type LR 6, AM 3, MN
®
1500 or size AA alkaline, e. g. Duracell ).
These batteries provide a shaving capacity
of approx. 60 minutes.
To open the battery cover (6), turn it 90° as
shown in (c). Insert batteries with the poles
in the direction marked. Before closing the
battery compartment, make sure the cover
is dry and clean.
Note: Never leave batteries in the shaver
for long periods of time when the shaver is
not in use (danger of leakage). Take empty
batteries out of the shaver immediately.
To protect the environment, dispose
of empty batteries at your retail store
or at appropriate collection sites
according to national or local regulations.
This appliance is suitable for use
in a bath or shower. When using it
in a shower, we recommend that
you apply shaving foam or gel.
Shaving
Turn the twisting protective cap (4) (a) until
it clicks in place as shown (b). To switch the
shaver on, push the on/off switch (3) up.
Long hair trimmer
(575 and 570 models only)
Use the extendable long hair trimmer (5) for
exact trimming of side burns and mous-
taches. To operate, slide the long hair
trimmer to the right (e) and turn on the
appliance. After use, slide it back until it
engages.
Cleaning and maintenance
For optimum shaving performance, clean
the shaver after each use:
Cleaning under running water
Turn on the shaver and hold the shaver
head under warm running water (f). You
may also use liquid soap. Rinse off all foam
and let the shaver run for a few more
seconds. Then turn it off and remove the
shaver foil (1) as shown (g) and let it dry.
If regularly cleaning the shaver under tap
water, weekly apply a drop of light machine
oil onto the long hair trimmer and shaver
foil.
Cleaning with the brush
Remove the shaver foil (1) and tap it gently
against a flat surface. Then thoroughly
clean the cutter block (2) with the brush (7)
as shown in (i). Do not clean the shaver foil
with the brush as this may damage it.
After cleaning, turn the twisting protective
cap (4) 180° to cover the shaving head.
In this position, the on/off switch is
automatically locked to avoid accidental
operation of the shaver (e. g. when
travelling).

Piles
Deux piles de 1,5 volt.
Pour une performance optimale utilisez
des piles alcalines au manganese (type
LR6, AM3, MN1500 ou AA Alcaline, ex :
®
Duracell ). Ces piles assurent une duree de
rasage d’environ 60 minutes.
Pour ouvrir le couvercle du compartiment a
piles (6), faites-le tourner a 90° comme cela
est indique dans le schema (c). Placez les
piles en respectant la polarite inscrite.
Avant de refermer le compartiment a piles,
verifiez que le capot est propre et sec.
Note : Ne jamais laisser les piles dans le
rasoir pendant une periode prolongee sans
utilisation (risque de fuites). Retirez imme-
diatement les piles usagees.
Pour proteger l’environnement,
deposez vos piles usagees chez
votre revendeur ou dans un site
de recuperation appropries conformement
aux reglementations locales ou nationales.
Cet appareil est concu pour
fonctionner dans le bain ou sous
la douche. Lorsque vous l’utilisez
sous la douche, nous vous recommandons
d’appliquer sur votre peau, du gel ou de la
mousse.
Rasage
Faites tourner le capot protecteur pivotant
(4) (a) jusqu’a ce qu’il soit mis en place
comme indique (b). Pour mettre en marche
l’appareil, pousser le bouton marche/arret
(3) vers le haut.
Tondeuse
(Sur modeles 575 et 570 seulement)
Utilisez la tondeuse retractable (5) pour une
coupe facile et precise de la moustache et
des pattes. Pour l’utiliser, faites glisser la
tondeuse sur la droite (e) et mettez l’appa-
reil en marche. Apres utilisation, faites-la
glisser en arriere jusqu’a ce qu’elle soit
bloquee.
Nettoyage et entretien
Pour une performance de rasage optimale,
nettoyez votre appareil apres chaque
utilisation :
Nettoyage sous l’eau courante
Allumez votre appareil et laissez la tete de
rasage sous l’eau courante chaude (f).
