Unsere Produkte erfullen hochste Anspruche an Qualitat,
Funktionalitat und Design. Wir wunschen Ihnen viel Freude
mit Ihrem neuen Braun Gerat.
Bitte lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung sorgfaltig durch,
bevor Sie das Gerat benutzen. Bewahren Sie die Bedie-
nungsanleitung gut auf, damit Sie auch spater darauf
zuruckgreifen konnen.
Wichtig
• Schlie?en Sie das Gerat nur an Wechselspannung (~) an
und prufen Sie, ob Ihre Netzspannung mit der Span-
nungsangabe auf dem Gerat ubereinstimmt.
•     Dieses Gerat darf nicht in der Nahe von mit Wasser
gefullten Behaltern wie z.B. Badewanne, Dusche,
Waschbecken verwendet werden. Das Gerat darf
nicht nass werden.
• Als zusatzlicher Schutz sollte im Stromkreis des Bade-
zimmers eine Fehlerstrom-Schutzeinrichtung (RCD) mit
einem Bemessungsauslosestrom von maximal 30 mA
installiert sein. Fragen Sie Ihren Elektroinstallateur.
• Kinder oder Personen mit eingeschrankten physischen,
sensorischen oder geistigen Fahigkeiten durfen dieses
Gerat nicht benutzen, es sei denn, sie werden durch eine
fur ihre Sicherheit zustandige Person beaufsichtigt.
Grundsatzlich raten wir aber, das Gerat von Kindern fern
zu halten.
• Vermeiden Sie eine Beruhrung hei?er Gerateteile.
• Legen Sie das Gerat in hei?em Zustand nur auf hitze-
bestandigen Oberflachen ab.
• Wickeln Sie das Kabel nicht um das Gerat. Uberprufen Sie
es gelegentlich auf Schadstellen. Ein Gerat mit defektem
Netzkabel darf nicht mehr benutzt werden. Wenden Sie
sich in diesem Fall an den Braun Kundendienst. Eine
unfachmannische Reparatur kann zu erheblichen Gefah-
ren fur den Benutzer fuhren.
• Der Braun Professional Haarglatter sollte nur bei trocke-
nem Haar verwendet werden.
Beschreibung

Vorbereitung
• Legen Sie das Gerat auf eine ebene, hitzebestandige
Flache und schlie?en Sie es an die Netzspannung an.
• Um das Gerat einzuschalten, schieben Sie den Ein-/Aus-
Schalter (4) auf  die Position «on».
• Die Kontrollleuchte (3) leuchtet und zeigt damit an, dass
das Gerat eingeschaltet ist und die Glatt-Platten (6)
geheizt werden.
• Nach ca. 1 Minute ist das Gerat betriebsbereit.
• Mit Hilfe des Temperaturreglers (2) kann die Temperatur in
13 Stufen zwischen «min» und «max» geregelt werden.
• Bei dickerem Haar sollte eine hohere Temperatur gewahlt
werden, wahrend bei feinem Haar eine geringere Tem-
peratur ausreicht. Je hoher die gewahlte Temperatur, um
so schneller tritt der Glattungseffekt ein.
Glattung
• Das Haar muss vollstandig trocken sein, bevor das Gerat
verwendet wird.
• Kammen Sie das Haar zunachst mit einem grob gezahn-
ten Kamm, um es zu entwirren (A).
• Teilen Sie das Haar in einzelne Strahnen auf. Beginnen
Sie an den Haarwurzeln. Platzieren Sie eine Haarstrahne
(maximal 3 bis 4 cm breit) zwischen den Glatt-Platten und
schlie?en Sie diese (B).
• Bewegen Sie das Gerat jetzt vorsichtig von der Haarwur-
zel bis zur Haarspitze. Achten Sie wahrend des Glat-
tungsprozesses auf eine kontinuierliche Bewegung
entlang der Haarstrahne. So erhalten Sie die besten Er-
gebnisse ohne die Haare zu sehr zu strapazieren.
Verweilen Sie nie langer als zwei Sekunden an einer Stelle.
Durch ihre bewegliche Lagerung gleiten die Glatt-Platten
leicht und gleichma?ig entlang der Haarstrahne (C).
• Das Gerat lasst sich leichter entlang einer Haarstrahne be-
wegen, wenn Sie es mit zwei Fingern der freien Hand an den
Cool touch Flachen (1) festhalten und dadurch stabilisieren.
• Bitte beachten Sie, dass alle Gehauseteile rund um die
Glatt-Platten hei? werden. Diese Gehauseteile durfen
deshalb nicht in Kontakt mit der Haut kommen.
• Zur Verbesserung des Glattungserfolgs wahlen Sie eine
hohere Temperatureinstellung. Soll die Glattung sanfter
ausfallen, wahlen Sie eine niedrigere Temperatur.
Nach dem Gebrauch
Schalten Sie das Gerat nach jedem Gebrauch ab. Ziehen
Sie den Netzstecker und lassen Sie das Gerat komplett ab-
kuhlen. Tauchen Sie das Gerat niemals in Wasser ein.
Reinigen Sie das Gerat mit einem feuchten Tuch und
trocknen Sie es mit einem weichen Tuch nach. Bitte
verwenden Sie keine Reinigungsmittel wie beispielsweise
Spiritus oder Benzin.
Das Gerat kann zur Aufbewahrung an der Hangeschlaufe
aufgehangt werden. Es sollte jedoch unbedingt ausge-
schaltet sein.

Dieses Gerat entspricht den EU-Richtlinien EMV
2004/108/EG und Niederspannung 2006/95/EC.
Dieses Gerat darf am Ende seiner Lebensdauer nicht
mit dem Hausmull entsorgt werden. Die Entsorgung
kann uber den Braun Kundendienst oder lokal
verfugbare Ruckgabe- und Sammelsysteme erfolgen.

Important
• Plug your appliance into an alternating current (~) outlet
only and make sure that your household voltage cor-
responds to the voltage marked on the appliance.
•     This appliance must never be used near water (e.g.
a filled wash basin, bathtub or shower). Do not allow
the appliance to get wet.
• For additional protection, it is advisable to install a
residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual
operating current not exceeding 30 mA in the electrical
circuit of your bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
• This appliance is not intended for use by children or
persons with reduced physical or mental capabilities,
unless they are given supervision by a person responsible
for their safety. In general, we recommend that you keep
the appliance out of reach of children.
• Avoid touching the hot parts of the product.
• When hot, do not place on surfaces that are not heat-
resistant.
• Do not wrap the mains cord around the appliance.
Regularly check the mains cord for wear or damage. If the
cord is damaged, stop using the appliance and take it to
an authorized Braun Service Centre. Unqualified repair
work can lead to extreme hazards for the user.
• The Braun Ceramic straightener should be used on dry
hair only.

Getting started
• Place the appliance on a flat, level, heat-resistant surface
and plug it into a power socket.
• Turn on the appliance by sliding the on/off switch (4) to the
«on» position.
• The pilot light (3) illuminates to indicate that the appliance
is switched on and that the straightening plates (6) are
heating.
• After approximately 1 minute, the appliance is ready to use.
• Using the temperature dial (2), you can adjust the
temperature in 13 stages between «min» and «max».
• Use a higher temperature setting for thicker hair and a
lower temperature for fine hair. The higher the tempe-

rature setting, the faster you will get a sleek straightening
result.
Straightening
• Make sure your hair is completely dry before using the
appliance.
• First, comb your hair through with a wide toothed comb to
remove tangles (A).
• Section your hair off. Starting close to the roots, place a
section of hair (strands of 3-4 cm max.) between the
straightening plates and close them (B).
• Gently glide your straightener from the roots to the ends
of the hair. Glide along the strand with a continuous
movement throughout the straightening process. This will
ensure best straightening results without damaging the
hair. Do not rest on one spot for longer than 2 seconds.
The floating straightening plates ensure easy and smooth
gliding (C).
• For improved control when gliding along a strand, you
may stabilise the appliance using two fingers of your other
hand to hold the cool touch points (1).
• Be careful, all other housing parts around the straighten-
ing plates will get hot. Therefore, do not let hot housing
parts get in contact with the skin.
• To improve the straightening result, select a higher
temperature setting. Choose a lower temperature, if you
prefer a more gentle straightening.
After use
After each use, switch off the appliance, unplug it and let it
cool down fully.
Never immerse the appliance in water.
Clean the appliance with a damp cloth and use a soft cloth
to dry.
Do not use any cleaning agents such as spirit or benzine.
For storing the appliance, you may hang it using the hanging
loop. However, make sure that it is switched off.

Important

• Cet appareil n’est pas destine a des enfants ou a des
personnes aux capacites mentales et physiques reduites
a moins qu’elles ne soient sous la surveillance d’un adulte
responsable de leur securite. Mais de maniere generale
nous recommandons de maintenir cet appareil hors de
portee des enfants.
• Evitez de toucher les parties chaudes du produit.
• Lorsque l’appareil est chaud, ne pas le poser sur des
surfaces non thermoresistantes.
• Ne pas enrouler le cordon autour de l’appareil. Verifier
regulierement que le cordon n’est ni use, ni endommage.
Si le cordon d’alimentation est endommage, arretez
d’utiliser l’appareil. Le cordon doit etre remplace dans un
centre service agree Braun afin d’eviter un danger pour
l’utilisateur.
• Le lisseur ceramique Braun ne doit etre utilise que sur
cheveux secs.

Mise en marche
• Placez l’appareil sur une surface plane, thermoresistante
et branchez le a une prise de courant.
• Allumez l’appareil en faisant glisser le bouton marche/
arret (4) sur la position «on».
• L’indicateur de marche (3) s’allume pour indiquer que
l’appareil commence a chauffer.
• Apres approximativement 1 minute, l’appareil est pret a
l’emploi.
• En utilisant la molette, vous pouvez regler 13 stades de
temperature entre «min» et «max».
• Utilisez une temperature elevee pour des cheveux epais
et une temperature plus douce pour des cheveux fins.
Plus la temperature sera elevee, plus vite vous obtiendrez
un effet lissant.
Lissage
• Verifiez que vos cheveux soient completement secs avant
toute utilisation.
• Demelez vos cheveux a l’aide d’une brosse ou d’un
peigne (A).
• Selectionnez une meche. Commencez a la base des
racines, placez une meche de cheveux (meche de 3-4 cm
max) entre les plaques et refermez (B).
• Faites glisser doucement le lisseur des racines jusqu’a la
pointe des cheveux. Glissez d’un mouvement continu lors
du processus de lissage. Cela vous fournira de meilleurs
resultats sans endommager vos cheveux. Les plaques
vous assureront un lissage facile et en douceur (C).
• Pour un meilleur controle lors du lissage vous pouvez
stabiliser l’appareil en apposant deux doigts sur les
embouts froids (1).
• Soyez prudent, toutes les autres parties autour des
plaques lissantes sont chaudes. Ne pas mettre en contact
avec la peau.
• Pour ameliorer le lissage, selectionnez une temperature
plus elevee. Choisissez une temperature plus basse pour
un lissage plus leger.
Apres utilisation
Apres chaque utilisation, eteignez l’appareil, debranchez le
et laissez refroidir completement. Ne jamais plonger l’ap-
pareil dans l’eau.
Nettoyez l’appareil a l’aide d’un chiffon humide et essuyez
avec un chiffon sec et doux.
Ne pas utiliser d’agents nettoyants tels que du white spirit
ou du benzene.
Pour ranger l’appareil, vous pouvez l’accrocher grace a
l’anneau de suspension. Cependant, verifiez que l’appareil
soit eteint.
Sujet a toute modification sans avis prealable.
Cet appareil est conforme aux normes Europeennes
fixees par les Directives 2004/108/EC et la directive
Basse Tension 2006/95/EC.
A la fin de vie de votre appareil, veuillez ne pas le jeter
avec vos dechets menagers. Remettez-le a votre
