Bitte lesen Sie die Gebrauchsanweisung vor Inbetriebnahme
des Gerates sorgfaltig durch und bewahren Sie sie auf.
Wichtig
• Schlie?en Sie das Gerat nur an Wechsel-
spannung an und prufen Sie, ob Ihre Netz-
spannung mit der Spannungsangabe auf
dem Gerat ubereinstimmt.
•      Dieses Gerat darf nicht in der Nahe von
mit Wasser gefullten Behaltern (wie
z.B. Badewanne, Dusche, Waschbecken)
verwendet werden. Achten Sie darauf, dass
das Gerat nicht nass wird.
• Als zusatzlicher Schutz wird die Installation
einer Fehlerstrom-Schutzeinrichtung (RCD)
mit einem Bemessungsauslosestrom von
nicht mehr als 30 mA im Badezimmer-
Stromkreis empfohlen. Fragen Sie Ihren
Installateur um Rat.
• Dieses Gerat kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren
oder von Personen mit eingeschrankten
physischen, sensorischen oder geistigen
Fahigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung und/
oder Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie
beaufsichtigt sind oder eine Unterweisung
zur sicheren Anwendung des Gerates erhal-
ten haben und die daraus resultierenden
Gefahren verstehen. Kinder durfen nicht mit
dem Gerat spielen. Reinigung und Wartung
durfen nicht durch Kinder durchgefuhrt
werden, es sei denn, sie sind alter als
8 Jahre und beaufsichtigt.
• Vermeiden Sie es, hei?e Gerateteile zu
beruhren.
• Legen Sie das Gerat im hei?en Zustand
nicht auf hitzeunbestandige Flachen.
• Wickeln Sie das Netzkabel nicht um das
Gerat. Uberprufen Sie es gelegentlich auf
Schadstellen. Ist das Netzkabel beschadigt,
muss es durch eine vom Hersteller benannte
Reparaturwerkstatt ersetzt werden, um
Gefahrdungen zu vermeiden.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerat nur bei trockenem
Haar.

Anschlie?en
Entfernen Sie die Schutzkappe (4). Legen Sie das Gerat
auf eine hitzebestandige Flache und schlie?en Sie es ans
Stromnetz an. Die Kontrolllampe (3) leuchtet und zeigt,
dass das Gerat angeschlossen ist und aufheizt. Nach einer
Aufheizzeit von ca. 1 Minute ist das Gerat einsatzbereit.
Wenn Sie es bei 100 V betreiben, ist mit einer langeren
Aufheizzeit zu rechnen. Zum Ausschalten den Netzstecker
ziehen.
Glatten
Stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr Haar vollstandig trocken ist,
bevor Sie das Gerat benutzen.
Zunachst kammen Sie Ihr Haar mit einem breiten Kamm,
um das Haar zu entwirren. Dann teilen Sie Ihr Haar in ein-
zelne Haarstrahnen.
Am Haaransatz beginnend, legen Sie eine dunne Haar-
strahne (1–2 cm) zwischen die Stylingplatten und schlie?en
Sie diese (A). Nun sanft vom Haaransatz zu den Haar-
spitzen gleiten (B). Mit einer kontinuierlichen Bewegung
wahrend des gesamten Glattvorgangs an der Haarstrahne
entlang gleiten. Damit erzielen Sie die besten Glattergeb-
nisse, ohne Ihrem Haar zu schaden. Verweilen Sie nicht
langer als 2 Sekunden an einer Stelle.
Vorsicht, alle Gehauseteile mit Ausnahme des Griffbe-
reichs (2) werden hei?. Vermeiden Sie Hautkontakt mit
hei?en Gehauseteilen.
Locken
Halten Sie eine Haarstrahne an den Spitzen fest und legen
Sie sie direkt am Haaransatz zwischen die Heizplatten (C).
Drehen Sie das Gerat so, dass die Haarstrahne uber das
Au?engehause gleitet (D) und ziehen Sie langsam in Rich-
tung Haarspitzen (E) und daruber hinaus.
Nach Gebrauch
Nach dem Gebrauch den Netzstecker ziehen und das
Gerat mindestens 5 Minuten abkuhlen lassen. Setzen Sie
dann die Schutzkappe auf, damit das Gerat leichter ver-
staut werden kann.
Reinigung
Vor dem Reinigen den Netzstecker ziehen und das Gerat
abkuhlen lassen. Tauchen Sie das Gerat nicht in Wasser.
Verwenden Sie keine brennbaren oder aggressiven Reini-
gungsmittel oder Scheuerschwamme. Reinigen Sie das
Gerat von Zeit zu Zeit mit einem feuchten Tuch und trock-
nen es mit einem weichen Tuch.
Entsorgung
Das Produkt enthalt recycelbare Elektrobauteile.
Um die Umwelt zu schutzen, darf das Gerat nicht
uber den Hausmull entsorgt werden. Bringen Sie
es zu einer kommunalen Sammelstelle.

Please read these use instructions carefully before use
and keep them for future reference.
Important
• Plug the appliance into an alternating
current outlet only and make sure that your
household voltage corresponds to the
voltage printed on the appliance.
•      This appliance must never be used
near water (e.g. a filled wash basin,
bathtub or shower). Do not allow the appli-
ance to get wet.
• For additional protection, it is advisable
to install a residual current device (RCD)
with a rated residual operating current not
exceeding 30 mA in the electrical circuit
of your bathroom. Ask your installer for
advice.
• This appliance can be used by children
aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack or experience and
knowledge if they have been given super-
vision or instructions concerning the use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children shall not play
with the appliance. Cleaning and mainte-
nance shall not be made by children unless
they are older than 8 years and supervised.
• Do not touch the hot parts of the appliance.
• When hot, do not place on surfaces that are
not heat-resistant.
• Do not wrap the mains cord around the
appliance. Regularly check the mains cord
for wear or damage. If the cord is damaged,

Description

Connecting
Remove the protective cap (4). Place the appliance on
a heat-resistant surface and plug it into a power socket.
The pilot light (3) shines to show that the appliance is
connected to the mains and heating up. You can start
straightening after about one minute heat-up time.
Please expect a longer heat-up time when operating the
appliance at 100 V.
To switch off, unplug the appliance.
Straightening
Make sure your hair is completely dry before using the
appliance.
First, comb your hair through with a wide toothed comb to
remove tangles. Section your hair off.
Starting close to the roots, place a thin strand of hair
(1–2 cm)  between the styling plates and close them (A).
Gently glide the appliance from the roots to the hair ends
(B). Glide along the strand with a continuous movement
throughout the straightening process. This will ensure best
straightening results without damaging the hair. Do not
rest on one spot for longer than 2 seconds.
Be careful, all housing parts except for the handle area (2)
will get hot. Do not let hot housing parts get in contact with
your skin.
Styling curls
Hold the separated strand firmly by the ends and place the
root zone of the strand between the heating plates (C).
Turn the appliance so that the strand glides over the outer
housing (D) and slowly pull towards hair ends (E) and
beyond.
After use
After use, unplug the appliance and let it cool down for at
least 5 minutes. You may then attach the protective cap for
storing or transport.
Cleaning
Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
Never immerse the appliance in water. Do not use flam-
mable or aggressive cleaners or abrasive scourers. From
time to time, clean the appliance with a damp cloth and
use a soft cloth to dry.
Disposal
This product contains recyclable electronic waste.
To protect the environment, do not dispose of it in
the household waste, but take it to appropriate local
collection points.

We grant a 2 year guarantee on the product commencing
on the date of purchase. Within the guarantee period we
will eliminate any defects in the appliance resulting from
faults in materials or workmanship, free of charge either
by repairing or replacing the complete appliance at our

ance is supplied by Braun or its appointed distributor.
This guarantee does not cover: damage due to improper
use, normal wear or use as well as defects that have a
