Bitte lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung sorgfaltig durch, bevor
Sie das Gerat benutzen. Bewahren Sie die Bedienungsanleitung
gut auf, damit Sie auch spater darauf zuruckgreifen konnen.
Wichtig
•  Schlie?en Sie das Gerat nur an Wechselspannung (~) an und
prufen Sie, ob Ihre Netzspannung mit der Spannungsangabe
auf dem Gerat ubereinstimmt.
•   Dieses Gerat darf nicht in der Nahe von mit Wasser
gefullten Behaltern wie z.B. Badewanne, Dusche, Wasch-
becken verwendet werden. Das Gerat darf nicht nass werden.
•  Als zusatzlicher Schutz sollte im Stromkreis des Badezimmers
eine Fehlerstrom-Schutzeinrichtung (RCD) mit einem Bemes-
sungsauslosestrom von maximal 30 mA installiert sein. Fragen
Sie Ihren Elektroinstallateur.
•  Kinder oder Personen mit eingeschrankten physischen,
sensorischen oder geistigen Fahigkeiten durfen dieses Gerat
nicht benutzen, es sei denn, sie werden durch eine fur ihre
Sicherheit zustandige Person beaufsichtigt. Grundsatzlich
raten wir aber, das Gerat von Kindern fern zu halten.
•  Vermeiden Sie eine Beruhrung hei?er Gerateteile.
•  Legen Sie das Gerat in hei?em Zustand nur auf hitzebestandi-
gen Oberflachen ab.
•  Wickeln Sie das Kabel nicht um das Gerat. Uberprufen Sie es
gelegentlich auf Schadstellen. Ein Gerat mit defektem Netz-
kabel darf nicht mehr benutzt werden. Wenden Sie sich in
diesem Fall an den Braun Kundendienst. Eine unfachmanni-
sche Reparatur kann zu erheblichen Gefahren fur den Benutzer
fuhren.
•  Dieses Gerat sollte nur bei trockenem Haar verwendet werden.
•  Vorsicht bei der Anwendung des Gerates mit Maximaltempe-
ratur.

Colour Saver Technologie
Die Colour Saver Technologie mit satin ions erhalt die Gesundheit
von coloriertem Haar, indem sie es vor Austrocknung und
Schadigung schutzt und gleichzeitig den Feuchtigkeitsverlust
wahrend des Stylens um bis zu 50% reduziert.* Beim Freisetzen
der Ionen entsteht ein knisterndes Gerausch. Eine Technologie
fur wunderschon glattes und geschmeidiges Haar, das gesunder
aussieht und die Leuchtkraft Ihrer Haarfarbe langer erstrahlen
lasst.

Inbetriebnahme
•  Schlie?en Sie das Gerat ans Netz an und drucken Sie den
Ein-/Aus-Schalter (5) fur eine Sekunde, um das Gerat einzu-
schalten.
•  Wahrend des Aufheizens leuchtet die LCD-Anzeige orange/rot.
Das Gerat wird mit einer Standard-Temperatureinstellung fur
normales Haar (mittel) ausgeliefert. Das Thermometer-Symbol
[A] blinkt, solange die angezeigte Temperatur noch nicht
erreicht ist.
•  Wenn nach ca. 30 Sekunden die Anzeige grun leuchtet, ist das
Gerat betriebsbereit. Sobald die Temperatur fur die gewahlte
Einstellung erreicht ist, hort das Thermometer-Symbol auf zu
blinken.
•  Individuelle Einstellungen: Mit dem Haartyp-Wahlschalter (3)
konnen Sie die Temperatur fur feines (fine), normales (normal)
und dickes (thick) Haar einstellen. Bei jedem Haartyp haben
Sie die Wahl zwischen einer niedrigen, mittleren und hohen
Einstellung.
•  Wenn Sie die Haartyp-Einstellung andern, leuchtet die Anzeige
orange/rot und das Thermometer-Symbol blinkt erneut. Sobald
die Anzeige grun leuchtet, konnen Sie mit dem Stylen
fortfahren.
•  Temperatur-Booster: Bei schwer zu stylenden Strahnen
konnen Sie die Temperatur kurzzeitig erhohen, indem Sie den
Temperatur-Booster (4) drucken. Fur 20 Sekunden wird die
Temperatur um 20 °C erhoht. In dieser Zeit blinkt die Anzeige.
Danach springt das Gerat zu der ursprunglich gewahlten
Temperatureinstellung zuruck.
•  Abschaltautomatik: Aus Sicherheitsgrunden schaltet sich
das Gerat automatisch nach 30 Minuten ab. Funf Minuten vor
der automatischen Abschaltung erscheint «auto off» auf der
Anzeige, die rot blinkt [E]. Sollten Sie das Gerat noch weiter
benutzen wollen, drucken Sie kurz den Ein-/Aus-Schalter (5).
•  Speicherfunktion: Um Ihr Styling so einfach und schnell wie
moglich zu machen, speichert das Gerat Ihre letzten individu-
ellen Einstellungen fur den nachsten Gebrauch.
Stylen
Vorbereitung:
•  Trocknen Sie Ihr Haar vollstandig, bevor Sie das Gerat
verwenden.
•  Kammen Sie das Haar zunachst mit einem grob gezahnten
Kamm, um es zu entwirren [G].
•  Teilen Sie das Haar in einzelne Strahnen auf. Halten Sie eine
ca. 3 bis 4 cm breite Strahne straff und legen Sie sie am
Haaransatz [H] zwischen die Styling-Platten.
So glatten Sie Ihr Haar:
•  Bewegen Sie das Gerat langsam und kontinuierlich entlang der
gesamten Haarlange [I], ohne langer als 2 Sekunden auf einer
Stelle zu verweilen. So erhalten Sie beste Ergebnisse, ohne die
Haare zu sehr zu strapazieren. Die NanoGlide Styling-Platten
(8) bieten dreifach bessere Gleiteigenschaften als herkomm-
liche Platten und schutzen daher ihr Haar vor unnotiger Bean-
spruchung.
•  Das Gerat lasst sich besser handhaben, wenn Sie es mit der
anderen Hand an den Cool touch Rippen (1) festhalten.
•  Sie konnen die Haarspitzen nach au?en oder innen formen,
indem Sie das Gerat entsprechend drehen, bevor Sie es uber
die Haarspitzen hinaus ziehen.
So formen Sie leichte Wellen und Locken:
–  Legen Sie eine Strahne am Haaransatz zwischen die Styling-
Platten [J],
–  drehen Sie das Gerat eine halbe Umdrehung und
–  ziehen Sie es langsam in Richtung Haarspitzen. Wird das Gerat
uber die Spitzen hinaus gezogen, entsteht eine Locke.
Nach dem Gebrauch
Nach jedem Gebrauch den Ein-/Aus-Schalter (5) fur eine
Sekunde drucken, um das Gerat auszuschalten.
Temperaturrestanzeige
Solange das Gerat nicht vom Stromnetz getrennt wird, leuchtet
nach dem Ausschalten die LCD-Anzeige noch rot und zeigt das
Abkuhlsymbol [F]. Erst wenn die Temperatur unter 60 °C abge-
fallen ist, schaltet sich die LCD-Anzeige aus und Sie konnen das
Gerat ohne jegliche Gefahr beruhren.
Reinigen
Tauchen Sie das Gerat niemals in Wasser ein.
Reinigen Sie das Gerat mit einem feuchten Tuch und trocknen
Sie es mit einem weichen Tuch nach.
Anderungen vorbehalten.
Dieses Gerat entspricht den EU-Richtlinien EMV
2004/108/EG und Niederspannung 2006/95/EC.
Das Gerat darf am Ende seiner Lebensdauer nicht mit
dem Hausmull entsorgt werden. Die Entsorgung kann
uber den Braun Kundendienst oder lokal verfugbare
Ruckgabe- und Sammelstellen erfolgen.

Kaufers zusatzlich zu den gesetzlichen Gewahrleistungsan-
spruchen gegen den Verkaufer – eine Garantie von 2 Jahren ab
Kaufdatum. Innerhalb dieser Garantiezeit beseitigen wir nach
unserer Wahl durch Reparatur oder Austausch des Gerates
unentgeltlich alle Mangel, die auf Material- oder Herstellungs-
fehlern beruhen. Die Garantie kann in allen Landern in Anspruch
genommen werden, in denen dieses Braun Gerat von uns
autorisiert verkauft wird.

Please read these use instructions carefully before use and keep
them for future reference.
Important
•  Plug your appliance into an alternating current outlet only and
make sure that your household voltage corresponds to the
voltage printed on the appliance.
•   This appliance must never be used near water (e.g. a filled
wash basin, bathtub or shower). Do not allow the
appliance to get wet.
•  For additional protection, it is advisable to install a residual
current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current
not exceeding 30 mA in the electrical circuit of your bathroom.
Ask your installer for advice.
•  This appliance is not intended for use by children or persons
with reduced physical or mental capabilities, unless they are
given supervision by a person responsible for their safety. In
general, we recommend that you keep the appliance out of
reach of children.
•  Avoid touching the hot parts of the appliance.
•  When hot, do not place on surfaces that are not heat-resistant.

Colour Saver Technology
Colour Saver Technology with satin ions maintains the precious
health of colored hair as it protects your hair from dry out and
damage and prevents moisture loss of coloured hair by up to
50%* while styling. As satin ions are released onto your hair a
slight crackling noise can be heard.

Technology
Getting started
•  Connect the appliance to an electrical outlet and push the
«on/off» button (5) for 1 second to turn it on.
•  During heat up, the display turns orange/red. The appliance is
delivered with a default setting for normal hair, medium. The
thermometer symbol is flashing [A] as long as the temperature
for the displayed setting is not reached.
•  After approx. 30 seconds, the display turns green to indicate
that you can start using the appliance. As soon as the tem-
perature for the selected setting is reached, the thermometer
symbol stops flashing.
•  Personalized settings: Using the hair type selectors (3), you
can adjust the temperature for fine, normal and thick hair.
Within each hair type, you have the choice between a low,
medium and high setting.
•  When changing the hair type setting, the display turns orange/
red and the thermometer symbol flashes again. When the
display turns green, you can go ahead with styling.
•  «boost» function: For handling difficult hair strands, you can
instantly increase the operating temperature by pushing the
«boost» button (4). For 20 seconds, the appliance will increase
its temperature by 20 °C with the backlight flashing.
Afterwards, the appliance switches back to the previously
selected temperature.
•  Safety auto off: For safety reasons, the appliance automatically
switches off after 30 minutes. Five minutes prior to switching
off, the display shows «auto off» [E] along with a red flashing
backlight. If you want to keep on straightening, simply press
the «on/off» button (5) again shortly.
•  Memory function: In order to make your styling session as
convenient and quick as possible, the appliance stores your
last personalised settings for the next usage.
Styling
Preparation
•  Make sure your hair is completely dry before using the
appliance.
•  First, comb your hair through with a wide toothed comb to
remove tangles [G].
•  Section your hair off. Starting close to the roots, take a thin
section of hair (strands of 3–4 cm maximum) and clamp it
firmly between the styling plates [H].
How to straighten your hair
•  Gently run the straightener through the entire length of the hair,
slowly and steadily, from roots to the ends [I] without stopping
for longer than 2 seconds. This will ensure best straightening
results without damaging your hair. Since the NanoGlide
Ceramic plates are 3 times smoother than conventional
ceramic plates, they protect your hair from damage by
providing friction-free gliding.
•  For improved control when gliding along a strand, you may
stabilise the appliance by holding it with the other hand on the
cool touch points (1).
•  You can create flicks at the hair ends by slowly turning the
appliance either outwards or inwards before releasing a strand.
How to form curls
With the Braun satinliner, you can also create loose curls and
waves [J]:
–  Clamp a strand at the roots,
–  turn the appliance half a turn,
–  then slowly move the appliance horizontally towards hair ends
and the strand will turn into curl.
After use
After each use, switch off the appliance by pushing the «on/off»
button (5) for 1 second.
Residual heat indicator
As long as the appliance is not unplugged, the display turns red
and shows the cooling down symbol [F] during the cooling down
