Bitte lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung sorgfaltig durch, bevor
Sie das Gerat benutzen. Bewahren Sie die Bedienungsanleitung
gut auf, damit Sie auch spater darauf zuruckgreifen konnen.
Wichtig
•  Schlie?en Sie das Gerat nur an Wechselspannung (~) an und
prufen Sie, ob Ihre Netzspannung mit der Spannungsangabe
auf dem Gerat ubereinstimmt.
•     Dieses Gerat darf nicht in der Nahe von mit Wasser
gefullten Behaltern wie z.B. Badewanne, Dusche,
Waschbecken verwendet werden. Das Gerat darf nicht
nass werden. Nach Gebrauch immer den Netzstecker
ziehen.
•  Als zusatzlicher Schutz sollte im Stromkreis des Badezimmers
eine Fehlerstrom-Schutzeinrichtung (RCD) mit einem Bemes-
sungsauslosestrom von maximal 30 mA installiert sein. Fragen
Sie Ihren Elektroinstallateur.
•  Kinder oder Personen mit eingeschrankten physischen,
sensorischen oder geistigen Fahigkeiten durfen dieses Gerat
nicht benutzen, es sei denn, sie werden durch eine fur ihre
Sicherheit zustandige Person beaufsichtigt. Wir empfehlen
au?erdem, das Gerat au?er Reichweite von Kindern auf-
zubewahren sowie sicherzustellen, dass Kinder nicht mit dem
Gerat spielen.
•  Achten Sie darauf, dass Ihre Haut (insbesondere an Ohren,
Gesicht oder Hals) nicht in Beruhrung mit hei?en Gerateober-
flachen (z.B. des Heizrohres) kommt.
•  Legen Sie das Gerat in hei?em Zustand nur auf hitzebestan-
dige Flachen.
•  Wickeln Sie das Kabel nicht um das Gerat. Uberprufen Sie es
gelegentlich auf Schadstellen. Ein Gerat mit defektem Netz-
kabel darf nicht mehr benutzt werden.
•  Wenn das Display im Ganzen blinkt, weist das auf einen
internen Geratefehler hin. Wenden Sie sich in diesem Fall an
den Braun Kundendienst. Durch unsachgema?e Reparaturen
konnen erhebliche Gefahren fur den Benutzer entstehen.
•  Dieses Gerat sollte nur bei trockenem Haar verwendet werden.

Inbetriebnahme
•  Halten Sie die Ein-/Aus-Taste [8] fur eine Sekunde gedruckt,
um das Gerat einzuschalten.
•  Im Display erscheinen drei blinkende Segmente, um anzuzei-
gen, dass das Gerat aufheizt (Abb. A).
•  Nach ca. 45 Sekunden ist die minimale Styling-Temperatur
erreicht und Sie konnen mit dem Stylen beginnen.
•  Mit der Temperaturwippe [6] (– / +) konnen Sie die Temperatur
innerhalb von funf Bereichen einstellen, die im Display durch
aufsteigende Segmente dargestellt werden. Wenn Sie die
Temperatureinstellung andern, blinken die Segmente. Wenn
die gewunschte Temperatur erreicht ist, erscheinen sie
dauerhaft.
•  Wir empfehlen folgende Temperatur-Einstellungen:
1 Segment (min):   fur feines Haar  (Abb. B).
2 bis 4 Segmente:  fur normales Haar
5 Segmente (max):  fur dickeres Haar und professionellen
Einsatz (Abb. C)
Je hoher die eingestellte Temperatur, desto besser das
Curling-Ergebnis.
Zur Schonung von chemisch behandeltem Haar sollte die
Temperatur jedoch auf maximal 3 Segmente eingestellt sein.
IONTEC
IONTEC ist eine speziell fur den Schutz der Gesundheit Ihrer
Haare entwickelte Technologie. Sie stellt den Feuchtigkeitsgehalt
Ihres Haares wieder her, der sonst durch Styling bei hohen
Temperaturen verloren geht.
Wenn Sie die «satin ions»-Taste [7] eine Sekunde lang drucken,
gibt die grune Ionen-Duse [3] Millionen von Ionen an Ihre Haare
ab. Beim Styling umschlie?en diese satin ions jedes einzelne
Haar und ziehen Feuchtigkeitspartikel aus der Umgebungsluft
an, um so schnell den Feuchtigkeitsgehalt Ihres Haares wieder-
herzustellen.
Stylen
Vorbereitung
•  Trocknen Sie Ihr Haar vollstandig, bevor Sie das Gerat
verwenden.
•  Kammen Sie Ihr Haar zunachst mit einem groben Kamm, um
es zu entwirren.
•  Teilen Sie einzelne Strahnen ab und beginnen Sie direkt an den
Haarspitzen: Legen Sie eine 3–4 cm breite Strahne zwischen
Heizrohr und Klammer und schlie?en Sie diese.
Formen von Locken und Wellen
•  Drehen Sie das Gerat mit einer kontinuierlichen Bewegung
sanft von den Spitzen zum Ansatz. Wenn Sie die komplette
Strahne aufgerollt haben, warten Sie einige Sekunden, um das
Gerat dann wieder zuruckzudrehen und die Locke freizugeben.
Leichtes Drucken der Taste [4] erleichtert das Losen der Strah-
nenspitze.
•  Das Gerat lasst sich besser handhaben, wenn Sie es mit der
anderen Hand am Cool Tip [1] festhalten.
•  Sie konnen bereits geformte Locken auch wieder glatten,
indem Sie die Strahne einklemmen und vom Haaransatz in
Richtung Spitzen langsam unter der Klammer durchgleiten
lassen.
•  Aus Sicherheitsgrunden schaltet das Gerat nach ca. 30 Minu-
ten automatisch aus. Drucken Sie erneut die Ein-/Aus-Taste
[8], falls Sie das Gerat noch weiter benutzen mochten.
Nach dem Gebrauch
•  Um das Gerat auszuschalten, drucken Sie eine Sekunde lang
die Ein-/Aus-Taste [8].
•  Bedenken Sie, dass das Heizrohr noch hei? sein kann und die
Gefahr des Verbrennens besteht. Nach ca. 20 Minuten Abkuhl-
zeit konnen Sie das Heizrohr gefahrlos beruhren.
•  Legen Sie das Gerat wahrend des Betriebs sowie in der Ab-
kuhlphase nicht auf hitzeempfindlichen Untergrund.
Reinigen
•  Tauchen Sie das Gerat niemals in Wasser.
•  Reinigen Sie das Gerat mit einem feuchten Tuch und trocknen
Sie es mit einem weichen Tuch nach.
Anderungen vorbehalten.
Das Gerat darf am Ende seiner Lebensdauer nicht mit
dem Hausmull entsorgt werden. Die Entsorgung kann
uber den Braun Kundendienst oder lokal verfugbare
Ruckgabe- und Sammelstellen erfolgen.
Garantie
Als Hersteller ubernehmen wir fur dieses Gerat – nach Wahl des
Kaufers zusatzlich zu den gesetzlichen Gewahrleistungs-
anspruchen gegen den Verkaufer – eine Garantie von 2 Jahren
ab Kaufdatum. Innerhalb dieser Garantiezeit beseitigen wir nach
unserer Wahl durch Reparatur oder Austausch des Gerates
unentgeltlich alle Mangel, die auf Material- oder Herstellungs-
fehlern beruhen. Die Garantie kann in allen Landern in Anspruch
genommen werden, in denen dieses Braun Gerat von uns
autorisiert verkauft wird.
Von der Garantie sind ausgenommen: Schaden durch
unsachgema?en Gebrauch, normaler Verschlei? und Verbrauch
sowie Mangel, die den Wert oder die Gebrauchstauglichkeit des
Gerates nur unerheblich beeinflussen. Bei Eingriffen durch nicht
von uns autorisierte Braun Kundendienstpartner sowie bei
Verwendung anderer als Original Braun Ersatzteile erlischt die

Please read these use instructions carefully before use and keep
them for future reference.
Important
•  Plug your appliance into an alternating current (
) outlet only
and make sure that your household voltage corresponds to the
voltage printed on the appliance.
•     This appliance must never be used near water (e.g. a
filled wash basin, bathtub or shower). Do not allow the
appliance to get wet. Always unplug it after use.
•  For additional protection, it is advisable to install a residual
current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current
not exceeding 30 mA in the electrical circuit of your bathroom.
Ask your installer for advice.
•  This appliance is not intended for use by children or persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, unless
they are given supervision by a person responsible for their
safety. In general, we recommend that you keep the appliance
out of reach of children. Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
•  Be careful to avoid that the hot surfaces of the appliance get
into direct contact with the skin, in particular of the ears, face
or neck.
•  When hot, do not place on surfaces that are not heat-resistant.
•  Do not wrap the mains cord around the appliance. Regularly
check the mains cord for wear of damage. If the cord is
damaged, stop using the appliance.
•  If the complete display flashes, this indicates an internal error
of the appliance. In this case, take the appliance to a Braun
Service Centre for checking. Unqualified repair work can lead
to extreme hazards for the user.
•  The appliance should be used on dry hair only.

Getting started
•  Connect the appliance to an electrical outlet and push the on/
off button [8] for 1 second to turn it on.
•  During heat-up, the display shows three flashing segments
(Fig. A).
•  After approximately 45 seconds, the minimum styling tempera-
ture is reached and you can start using the appliance.
•  Using the temperature selector [6], you can adjust the styling
temperature. There are 5 temperature levels represented by
ascending segments on the display. When changing the tem-
perature, the segments will flash. The segments shine perma-
nently when the selected temperature is reached.
•  We recommend the following temperature settings:
1 segment (min):   for fine hair (Fig. B)
2 to 4 segments:   for normal hair
5 segments (max):  for thick hair and professional use (Fig. C)
The higher the temperature, the better the curling result will be.
However, for better care of chemically treated hair, the tem-
perature setting should be 3 segments maximum.
IONTEC
IONTEC is a technology which is specifically developed to
protect the health of your hair. It restores the moisture balance of
your hair that usually gets lost during styling with excessive heat.
By activating the «satin ions» button [7] for one second, the
green ion jet [3] releases millions of ions effectively on to your
hair. These satin ions envelop every single hair and quickly
restore the moisture balance of your hair by attracting moisture
particles from the air while curling.
Styling
Preparing for use
•  Make sure your hair is completely dry before using the
appliance.
•  Comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb to remove tangles.
•  Section your hair off. Starting at the hair tips, clamp a section
of hair (strand of 3-4 cm max.) with the tong.
Creating curls and waves
•  Gently wind the strand up to the roots. Allow the strand to
remain curled up for a couple of seconds before unwinding it.
For best results, slightly press the tong opener [4] in order to
smoothly release the strand. For better handling, you may hold
the cool tip [1] with your other hand.
•  You can even straighten a strand that already has been curled
by clamping the strand at the roots again and then letting the
appliance glide slowly and carefully along the strand towards
the hair tips.
•  For safety reasons, the appliance will automatically turn off
after approximately 30 minutes.
•  Simply press the on/off button [8] again in case you may want
to continue using the appliance.
After use
•  After each use, switch off the appliance by pushing the on/off
button [8] for one second.
•  Keep in mind that the heating barrel is still hot. Do not touch it
to avoid any risk of burns. After 20 minutes cooling time, you
will be able to touch the heating barrel without any risk.
•  During use and cooling down, the appliance always has to be
placed on a heat-resistant surface.
Cleaning
•  Always unplug before cleaning. Never immerse the appliance
in water.
•  Clean the appliance with a damp cloth and use a soft cloth to
dry.

Please do not dispose of the product in the household
waste at the end of its useful life. Disposal can take place
at a Braun Service Centre or at appropriate collection
points provided in your country.
Guarantee
We grant a 2 year guarantee on the product commencing on the
date of purchase. Within the guarantee period we will eliminate
any defects in the appliance resulting from faults in materials or
workmanship, free of charge either by repairing or replacing the
complete appliance at our discretion.
This guarantee extends to every country where this appliance is
supplied by Braun or its appointed distributor.
This guarantee does not cover: damage due to improper use,
normal wear or use as well as defects that have a negligible
effect on the value or operation of the appliance. The guarantee
becomes void if repairs are undertaken by unauthorised persons

Mise en marche
•  Connecter l’appareil a une prise electrique et presser le bouton
marche/arret [8] pendant 1 seconde pour le mettre en marche.
•  Pendant que l’appareil chauffe, l’ecran affiche 3 barres cligno-
tantes (Fig. A.)
•  Au bout d’environ 45 secondes la temperature de coiffage
minimale est atteinte et vous pouvez commencer a vous
coiffer.
•  Vous pouvez regler la temperature de coiffage grace au bouton
[6]. Les 5 niveaux de temperature disponibles sont representes
a l’ecran par des barres de taille croissante. Lorsque vous
modifiez le reglage de la temperature, les barres clignotent,
jusqu’a ce que la temperature soit atteinte : les barres sont
affichees alors de maniere continue.
•  Nous recommandons les reglages de temperature suivants :
1 barre (min) :    cheveux fins (Fig. B)
2 a 4 barres :    cheveux normaux
5 barres (max) :   cheveux epais et usage professionnel (Fig. C)
Plus la temperature est elevee, meilleur sera le resultat des
boucles.
En revanche pour les cheveux ayant subit des traitements
chimiques, ne depassez pas le niveau 3 de temperature.
IONTEC
